The Congregational Care Team provides care to people within the church community during times of illness, accident, surgery, health crises, and bereavement. This group of dedicated volunteer members are, along with Branches group members, the “first line” of helpers to meet the practical needs of our congregants who are in crisis.

The team can provide food and meals as needed during a congregant’s illness or recovery. Our team also provides transportation to those who may be temporarily unable to drive, and other tangible temporary help, such as visiting, pet sitting, or grocery shopping. The CCT also manages UCBR’s sympathy, congratulatory, and holiday card ministries, and coordinates the donation of flowers for the sanctuary by members who wish to honor or memorialize loved ones. When requested, we organize receptions for memorial services.
