A group of people seated in a circle.

Roots is our introduction to Unitarian Universalism and to the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge. Each Roots class is led by one of our ministers, and explores the history of this religious tradition, and the nature of belonging to a church like ours. Roots is the foundational step in a path to membership, which brings with it the privilege of voting on the governance of the congregation. Roots is also the first step in joining Branches, UCBR’s successful small group ministry.

Roots classes consist of two sessions of two hours each, and are held every other month, either Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings. For more information, or to sign up, visit the welcome table on Sunday mornings or contact the office.
