Fall Reading: Join a UCBR Book Club

Did you know there are TWO book clubs at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge? The Open Circle Book Club meets on the first Sunday of each month, and the Women’s Book Club meets on the second Monday of each month. Both groups’ meetings are at 7 p.m. in Room 1 at the church with an option to join via Zoom online as well. Their upcoming meetings dates and selections include:

OPEN CIRCLE BOOK CLUB

  • Oct. 6 – “The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store” by James Bob McBride
  • Nov. 3 – “Trust” by Herman Diaz
  • Dec. 1 – “Educated, a Memoir” by Tara Westover
  • Jan. 5 – “The City and the Coming Climate” by Brian Stone Jr.

WOMEN’S CIRCLE BOOK CLUB

  • Oct. 14 – “The Book of Lost Friends” by Lisa Wingate
  • Nov. 11 – “Red, White, and Royal Blue” by Casey McQuiston
  • Dec. 9 – “West with Giraffes” by Lynda Rutledge
  • Jan. 13 – “The Great River” by Boyce Upholt
