March brings a full calendar of special events to the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge — all in addition to our regular worship services, classes and programs. From service and music to community partnerships and celebration, there’s something meaningful happening nearly every week.
Sunday, March 1 | Spring Blood Drive (8 a.m.–2 p.m.)
Kick off the month by giving the priceless gift of life. Our spring blood drive will take place on the blood bank’s bus parked in the church lot. Stop by anytime to donate and help support our wider community.
Sunday, March 1 | Pet Pillow Palooza: Making of the Green (1–5 p.m.)
Wrap up our shelter service project with a little St. Paddy’s flair! This final session welcomes sewing and non-sewing helpers of all skill levels. Open to ages 5 and up (children under 15 must be with an adult). Come for as long or as little as your schedule allows. Note: Due to dust and fluff, this activity isn’t suitable for those with respiratory issues.
Sunday, March 8 | BLUUES Services (9 & 11:30 a.m.)
Our beloved BLUUES services return with a joyful, music-filled celebration led by talented musicians. Join us in the sanctuary or watch live on our YouTube stream at www.youtube.com/@UnitarianBR
Thursday, March 19 | BRSO Chamber Series: Woodwind Quintet (7:30 p.m.)
We’re pleased to welcome the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra back to our sanctuary as they present their Chamber Series: Woodwind Quintet. Tickets are available at www.brso.org
Saturday, March 28 | Annual Auction: Golden Age of Hollywood (6–8 p.m.)
Step into timeless elegance as our annual auction returns with a glamorous Golden Age of Hollywood theme. Enjoy live and silent auction items, small bites and beverages, live music, and vintage flair. A limited kids’ area (ages 3+) is available by advance ticket. Donation submissions and tickets are now open.
March is shaping up to be a vibrant month at UCBR. Don’t miss any of these special events.
