Option 1: March with us in the Krewe of Cardboard
We’re forming a walking krewe for the parade, and everyone is invited! The Krewe of Cardboard is all about creativity, sustainability and joy.
- When: Sunday, Feb. 8, parade rolls at 2 p.m.
- What to expect: A fun, creative walking krewe open to all ages. Costumes are encouraged but totally optional. We’ll toss recycled Mardi Gras beads and handmade throws made from cardboard and packaging materials. We’re a welcoming group — come as you are!
- Ways to be involved: Walk in the parade. Help create costumes or throws at a prep party (date coming soon!). Volunteer with day-of logistics.
Not sure yet? Sign up anyway AT THIS LINK, and we’ll keep you in the loop. Details and updates coming soon. Questions about the krewe? Contact Jane at jane@repcap.com.
Option 2: Watch and feast — Family Ministries Potluck at the Parade
Prefer to watch from the sidelines? Join us near the end of the parade route for a relaxed, family-friendly watch party.
- When: We’ll set up around noon; the parade rolls at 2 p.m.
- Where: Parking lot at 4560 North Blvd.
- We provide: A tent for shade, a table and camaraderie.
- You bring: Your own chair, tailgating-style food or snacks to share.
This gathering is family friendly and all are welcome. Please note: No alcohol, as this is a church-sponsored event. Come for the whole afternoon or just drop by when you can!
Whether you’re marching, crafting or cheering from a lawn chair, this is a wonderful way to celebrate Mardi Gras together and show up as a joyful presence in our community.
