OWL Classes: “Our Whole Lives” sexuality classes starting soon!

The UUA’s Our Whole Lives comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education program will be offered for three age groups this school year at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge. While K-1 will be offered starting in January (more details to come later), registration for grades 4-5 and 7-8 is open now.

The schedule is as follows:

Grades 4-5

  • Optional parent info session: Sept. 15, 10:15-11:15 a.m.
  • Mandatory parent + child orientation session: Sept. 22, 1-3 p.m.
  • Classes: Sundays – Sept. 29-Dec. 15, 1-2 p.m. (with a two-week break near Thanksgiving)
  • Class + closing celebration: Dec. 22, 1-3 p.m.

Grades 7-8

  • Optional parent info session: Sept. 8, 10:15-11:15 a.m.
  • Mandatory parent orientation session: Sept. 15, 1-5 pm.
  • Classes: Sundays – Sept. 22-March 30, 1-3 p.m. (with two-week breaks near Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year’s and Mardi Gras)
  • Overnight Lock-Ins: Nov. 1-2, 6 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday; April 4-5, 6 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday
  • Class + closing celebration: April 13, 1-3 p.m.
