The UUA’s Our Whole Lives comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education program will be offered for three age groups this school year at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge. While K-1 will be offered starting in January (more details to come later), registration for grades 4-5 and 7-8 is open now.
The schedule is as follows:
Grades 4-5
- Optional parent info session: Sept. 15, 10:15-11:15 a.m.
- Mandatory parent + child orientation session: Sept. 22, 1-3 p.m.
- Classes: Sundays – Sept. 29-Dec. 15, 1-2 p.m. (with a two-week break near Thanksgiving)
- Class + closing celebration: Dec. 22, 1-3 p.m.
Grades 7-8
- Optional parent info session: Sept. 8, 10:15-11:15 a.m.
- Mandatory parent orientation session: Sept. 15, 1-5 pm.
- Classes: Sundays – Sept. 22-March 30, 1-3 p.m. (with two-week breaks near Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year’s and Mardi Gras)
- Overnight Lock-Ins: Nov. 1-2, 6 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday; April 4-5, 6 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday
- Class + closing celebration: April 13, 1-3 p.m.
