Spring is in full swing at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge, and April is packed with opportunities to gather, reflect and celebrate together. These events and more can be found at www.unitarianbr.org/events
Thursday, April 2 – We begin with Tenebrae at 7 p.m., a moving evening service telling the story of Jesus’s death (in person or on our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/@UnitarianBR).
Sunday, April 5 – Just days later, we celebrate Easter Sunday with services at 9 a.m. (livestreamed) and 11:30 a.m. Between the services, all ages are invited to an egg hunt, crafts and a Family Ministries potluck brunch. Come for one or stay for it all.
Thursday, April 9 – Music lovers won’t want to miss the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra Chamber Series: String Quartet when they return to our sanctuary at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 11 – A full day starts with the Magical Spring Market (10 a.m.–4 p.m.) offering a free, family-friendly celebration of spirituality, healing and the arts, followed by our Community Drum Circle at 5:30 p.m. near the Peace Stones.
Sunday, April 12 – Get creative at our Peace Pole Painting Party (1:30–4 p.m.). Bring your pre-purchased peace pole and join others to prep them for the upcoming garden fundraiser.
Sunday, April 26 – We are invited to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge’s annual Sounds of CommUNITY Concert at 3 p.m. The concert will feature music and dance from a variety of faith traditions.
