Aug. 10: Find Your Spot at the Connections Fair!

Have you ever wondered what opportunities are available for volunteer work, engagement and building your community at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge? Our annual Connections Fair on Sunday, Aug. 10 is your chance to mingle with team leaders and find the right fit for yourself in our shared ministry. Tables will be hosted before and after both the 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. services.

Here’s a sample of what you might find at the hosted tables:

  • Black Joy Collective – A supportive gathering for Black church members.
  • Communications Team – Keeping you in the loop.
  • Congregational Care Team – Providing support to members and friends.
  • Disaster Response Team – Support before/after disasters.
  • FUNdraising Team – Dreaming up the next grand idea.
  • Gen ZUU – Meet other Gen Z adults over lunch and conversation.
  • Lunch Bunch – An informal meeting at a local restaurant.
  • Open Circle Book Club – A monthly gathering of readers.
  • Retirement Support Group – For those transitioning to retired life.
  • Sixth Source Sharing Circle – UU Pagans discuss their unique path.
  • Social Justice Team – Bringing more justice to the world.
  • Welcoming and Hospitality – Serving as ushers, greeters and hosts.
  • Women’s Book Club – A monthly gathering of readers.
