New Year’s Resolution: Join a Book Club

Did you promise yourself that you’d try to read more in 2025? Did you know there are TWO book clubs at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge? The Open Circle Book Club meets on the first Sunday of each month, and the Women’s Book Club meets on the second Monday of each month. Both groups’ meetings are at 7 p.m. in Room 1 at the church with an option to join via Zoom online as well. Their upcoming meetings dates and selections include:

OPEN CIRCLE BOOK CLUB

  • Feb. 2 – “Journalists and Their Shadows” by Patrick Lawrence
  • March 2 – “The Traveling Cat Chronicles” by Hiro Arakawa
  • April 6 – “Manhattan Transfer” by John Dos Passos
  • May 4 – “James” by Percival Everett

WOMEN’S BOOK CLUB

  • Feb. 10 – “This Other Eden” by Paul Harding
  • March 10 – “James” by Percival Everett
  • April 14 – “The Women” by Kristin Hannah
  • May 12 – “Becoming Madam Secretary” by Stephanie Dray
