For 75 years, the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge has been a place of faith, community and service. Now, as we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we’re looking ahead to the possibilities for our future.
Join us on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 6-8 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for our 75th Anniversary Capital Drive Launch Party, an evening of celebration, fellowship and inspiration as we honor our church’s history and officially launch our Capital Drive.
The evening will feature:
- Delicious food catered by Chef Charles Wilford
- A special dessert bar by Precious Murphy
- Live music from a trio
- Fun, fellowship and celebration with our church community
Dress for the occasion! Magical, fantasy, whimsical and enchanted attire is encouraged, but not required. Whether you arrive dressed for a fairy tale or simply come as you are, you’re welcome!
Children are invited, too! They’ll enjoy their own special party with age-appropriate activities while adults celebrate in the Fellowship Hall.
But this party is about more than celebrating the past. It’s also about imagining what’s possible for our future. Our Capital Drive represents an opportunity to build on the foundation laid by generations before us, strengthen our congregation and invest in the church we want to leave for those who come after us. During the evening, we’ll share our vision for the future and celebrate the role each of us can play in helping the church reach its fundraising goal.
Whether you’ve been part of the church for decades or have only recently found your way here, you’re part of the community that will shape what comes next.
