Celebrating the Seasons: Earth-Centered Events for June

Unitarian Universalism draws wisdom from many sources, including the “spiritual teachings of Earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.” For many members of our congregation, these traditions provide a meaningful path for spiritual exploration and connection.

Our Sixth Source Sharing Circle brings together UUs interested in Pagan and Earth-centered spirituality. Named for the sixth source of Unitarian Universalism, the group gathers throughout the year for discussion, celebration and community. Here are a few upcoming opportunities to connect.

Saturday, June 13 – Summer Solstice Sing – 6–8 p.m.: Celebrate the longest days of the year around the campfire with music and community. Join our music director and director of family ministries for an evening of summer songs, camp songs, rounds and other easy-to-sing favorites. Whether you consider yourself a singer or not, all are welcome. For more information, contact Kathy or Lee.

Sunday, June 14 – Sixth Source Sharing Circle – 1–2 p.m.: Join members of the Sixth Source Sharing Circle as they discuss their unique spiritual paths as UU Pagans and explore their place in the natural world. Grounded in Unitarian Universalist principles, the group offers a welcoming space for conversation, reflection and learning. The June meeting will focus on Lammas/Summer Solstice.

Saturday, June 27 – Community Drumming Circle – 5:30 p.m.: Gather, move and make noise! Join us near the Peace Stones for our monthly Community Drumming Circle. This informal gathering invites participants to connect through rhythm, community and the simple joy of making music together. No experience is necessary.
