Discover Something New During Middle Hour This July

Looking for a way to connect, learn and get involved? Join us for Middle Hour, our adult programming held every Sunday at 10:15 a.m. between our 9 and 11:30 a.m. worship services. Whether you’re interested in social justice, exploring Unitarian Universalism or simply getting to know more people at UCBR, there’s something for everyone this month.

Social Justice Team – Room 1

The Social Justice Team gathers most Sundays during Middle Hour to discuss current initiatives and ways to make a difference in our community. There will be no meeting on July 5 for the holiday weekend. The remaining July programming includes:

Sunday, July 12 – Getting Us vs. Them Wrong: The Environment as a Bipartisan Issue: Join an open discussion about communicating across political divides on environmental issues by focusing on empathy, respect, shared values and mutual understanding. Led by Lauren Harter with help from others.

Sunday, July 19 – Join the Social Justice Action Krewe: Discover how easy it is to serve as a liaison to a local service organization and help UCBR become even more active in our community.

Sunday, July 26: Topic to be announced.

Faith in Exploration – Room 6

Whether you’re brand new to UCBR or have been attending for years, Faith in Exploration offers a welcoming place to learn more about our church and Unitarian Universalism.

Sunday, July 5 – Minister Meet and Greet: Sit down with one of our ministers for an informal conversation about our faith, our church and their ministry. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know one another.

Sundays, July 12, 19 and 26 – Introduction to Our Church (Three-Part Series): Designed especially for newcomers but open to everyone, this series explores who we are, what we believe and how our church works. Attend one session, two or all three.

  • July 12: What do we worship? What do we teach?
  • July 19: Who makes things happen?
  • July 26: Who we’ve been, who we are and how you can be part of us.

Whether you’re exploring UCBR for the first time or looking for a new way to get involved, we invite you to spend your Middle Hour with us this July.
