Gospel Choir: Practices Start June 27; Performance Aug. 2

Do you love to sing? Or have you always wanted to give choir a try? The Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge invites you to join our annual Gospel Choir!

Led by church member Jared Robinson, this year’s music will include a mix of classic and contemporary gospel songs. Best of all, no experience is necessary. Whether you’re a longtime singer or have never sung in a choir before, you’re welcome to participate.

Rehearsals will be held on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon beginning June 27 and continuing through Aug. 1, with no rehearsal on July 4.

The choir will share its music during our annual Gospel Service on Sunday, Aug. 2, at both the 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. services.

Not planning to sing but interested in hearing the choir perform? Everyone is invited to attend the Gospel Service in person. The 9 a.m. service will also be livestreamed on our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/@unitarianbr where online participants can connect through our hosted live chat.

If you’ve been looking for a fun way to make music, meet new people and be part of a beloved UCBR summer tradition, we hope you’ll join us.
