We’re spreading queer joy all month long with a Pride celebration like no other. Join us throughout June for community, conversation and celebration.

SATURDAY, JUNE 6 – Pride Prep Party – Head to church any time from 9 a.m. to noon to help decorate the campus for Pride month. Rainbow snacks included!

SUNDAYS, JUNE 7, 14, 21, 28 – Queer Café – The QUUeer Fête Q-Crew is hosting Queer Café every Sunday in June at 10:15 a.m. An open conversation, thoughtful discussion and a chance to ask our queer hosts anything you’ve ever wondered about LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences but may have been hesitant to ask. All are welcome.

SATURDAY, JUNE 20 – Ascension Pride – We’re heading back to Gonzales for the second annual event at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center. This free, family friendly event features entertainment and vendors in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. with a quieter, sensory-friendly early opening at 10 a.m. Find our booth for freebies, face painting and more!

SATURDAY, JUNE 27 – Baton Rouge Pride – Pride festivals are so nice, we thought we’d do them twice! Join us at the Raising Cane’s River Center from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. for another free, family-friendly, rainbow-filled event. We’d love for you to stop by our booth and say hello!

SUNDAY, JUNE 28 – Annual Pride Service – We’ll wrap up a rainbow-filled month with our annual celebration at both the 9 and 11:30 a.m. services. The 9 a.m. service will also livestream on our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/@UnitarianBR

SUNDAY, JUNE 28 – TransUU – Join others for a discussion and relationship-building group for those with loved ones who are transgender, nonbinary or gender nonconforming. Meetings are at 1 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of every month. This group is open to anyone wanting to share their journey with others. We have our own work to do; let’s do it together.
