Learn More About UCBR’s Proposed Strategic Plan

For several months, members of the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge have been dreaming together about what the next chapter of our congregation could look like.

During Lent, 20 teams met to imagine possibilities for the next decade. Their ideas were carefully reviewed, refined, and combined by the Strategic Planning Steering Committee into a proposed plan that reflects the congregation’s shared hopes and priorities for our future.

Now it’s time for the congregation to learn more.

The Strategic Planning Steering Committee invites everyone to attend one of several informational meetings before the Congregational Meeting on Sunday, Aug. 2 at 10:15 a.m., when members will vote on the proposed strategic plan.

These meetings are an opportunity to learn more about the priorities, ask questions about the recommendations, and be well informed before voting.

Whether you’ve been involved in the planning process or are just learning about it, we encourage you to attend one of these sessions.

Informational Meeting Schedule

The proposed strategic plan represents a vision for our congregation’s future — one shaped by the ideas, hopes, and hard work of our church community. We hope you’ll take advantage of one of these opportunities to learn more, ask questions, and be part of this important conversation as we discern the path ahead together.
