May Classes: Middle Hour for Adults

Room 5 – Faith in Practice – Check out PSTT! Parenting Support in Tumultuous Times. How do you answer kids’ questions? How do you help them stay stable and find joy? Discuss how to parent in a world that feels overwhelming.

Room 6 – Faith in Exploration – A three-part series titled “Intro to our Church” will be offered. Though it answers questions typically asked by newcomers to the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge, it is open to everyone. Come to one, two or all three sessions to learn: What do we worship? What do we teach? Who makes things happen? Who we’ve been, who we are and how you can be part of us?

Room 7 – Faith in Action – This space is always reserved for our Social Justice Team and its subteams that focus on voting, reproductive justice, education and climate. Drop in any week to hear what each team is working on and how you can get involved.

As a bonus event on May 18, stop by the sanctuary for a Q&A about the national economy with Jan Moller. Jan is the executive director of Invest in Louisiana, a local think tank committed to creating a state economy that puts the needs of Louisianans first and ensures that all communities, families and workers have equal access to economic prosperity.
