SUNDAYS IN SEPTEMBER — Postcard Writing Campaign – The Social Justice Team’s VOTE subteam will meet in the Fellowship Hall every Sunday in September at 12:30 p.m. to write postcards to encourage voter participation as part of this nonpartisan outreach to voters of color in southern states. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome to join this hands-on opportunity to support civic engagement.

SUNDAY MIDDLE HOUR

Classes for all ages are held 10:15-11:15 a.m. every Sunday. Children and youth can gather for UU-based lessons and activities. Adults are invited to look for these three options: Faith in Action (social justice activities), Faith in Exploration (learn about Unitarian Universalism) and Faith in Practice (discuss spiritual practices of all kinds).

  • MIDDLE HOUR: Social Justice Meeting – most Sundays – 10:15 a.m. – Find out how to get involved. The UCBR Glass Recycling Team will talk about the work of the Glass Half Full glass recycling program.

  • Campfire Sing-Along – 6-8 p.m. — Join our music director and director of family ministries for seasonal favorites, camp songs, rounds and more. S’mores at the firepit. (In sanctuary if weather is bad.)

Tuesday, Sept. 29

  • Potluck Death Dinner – 6-8 p.m. – Peaceful Transitions will host this free event. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish that reminds them of someone who has passed while participating in open dialogue about end-of-life wishes.   • QF+ – Worship on FIRE – 10-11:30 a.m. – This workshop with Rev. Sean Neil-Barron will explore the FIRE model of worship from Foothills Unitarian Church in Colorado. Share more about how we craft and experience worship in our own congregations. Open to UUs and religious and worship leaders from all faiths. (Free admission)

  • Congregational Care Team – Second Sunday/Odd months – 10:15 a.m. – The CCT meets at church and via Zoom to provide care to people in the church community who are in crisis.

Sunday, Dec. 13

  • Sixth Source Sharing Circle – 1-2 p.m. – UU Pagans discuss their unique path. The group is dedicated to the UU principles and exploring their place in the natural world and their relationship with the gods.
