Did you know there are TWO book clubs at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge? The Open Circle Book Club meets on the first Sunday of each month, and the Women’s Book Club meets on the second Monday of each month. Both groups’ meetings are at 7 p.m. in Room 1 at the church with an option to join via Zoom online as well. Their upcoming meetings dates and selections include:
OPEN CIRCLE BOOK CLUB
- June 2 – “The Henna Artist” by Alka Joshi
- July 7 – “Our Secret Society: Mollie Moon and the Glamour, Money and Power Behind the Civil Rights Movement” by Tanisha Ford
- Aug. 4 – “The Future is Not What it Used to Be – Climate Change and Energy Scarcity” by Jorg Friedrichs
- Sept. 1 – “All Systems Red” by Martha Wells
WOMEN’S BOOK CLUB
- June 10 – “Black Cake” by Charmaine Wilkerson
- July 8 – “Never Lie” by Freida McFadden
- Aug. 12 – “Demon Copperhead” by Barbara Kingsolver
- Sept. 9 – Potluck dinner to select future books
