Two upcoming events at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge offer opportunities to celebrate the season, connect with community and explore traditions associated with this time of year. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly Halloween fun or a chance to experience a Pagan ritual, you’re invited to join us!
Halloween Party – Saturday, Oct. 24, 5-7 p.m.
Get your costume ready and grab a friend for our annual Halloween Party! We’ll have pumpkin painting, crafts, games, trick-or-treating, s’mores around the firepit and more. This family-friendly celebration is a great opportunity to enjoy some seasonal fun with friends of all ages.
Volunteers are needed! If you can help with preparations earlier in the day or staff an activity during the party, email Kathy Smith at education@unitarianbr.org.
Samhain Ritual – Saturday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m.
Join our Sixth Source Sharing Circle for a Samhain ritual, an observance traditionally associated with the changing seasons and the transition from autumn toward winter.
The Sixth Source Sharing Circle provides a welcoming space for UU Pagans to explore their place in the natural world, their relationship with the divine and how their spiritual practices connect with Unitarian Universalist principles. Whether you’re familiar with Pagan traditions or simply curious to learn more, all are welcome!
