OCTOBER ADULT CLASSES – SUNDAYS 10:15-11:15 AM! Faith in Practice – Room 5 – PSTT! Parent Support in Tumultuous Times – How do you parent in a world that feels overwhelming? Join other parents for a deeper discussion. … Faith in Exploration – Room 6 – Start the month off on Sept. 7 with our Minister Meet & Greet. The remaining Sundays will be a three-part “Intro to our Church” series. Come to one, two or all three. … Faith in Action – Room 7 – This is always for our Social Justice Team and its subteams that focus on voting, reproductive justice and climate. Drop in any week.
SUNDAY MIDDLE HOUR
Classes for all ages are held 10:15-11:15 a.m. every Sunday. Children and youth can gather for UU-based lessons and activities. Adults are invited to look for these three options: Faith in Action (social justice activities), Faith in Exploration (learn about Unitarian Universalism) and Faith in Practice (discuss spiritual practices of all kinds).

- MIDDLE HOUR: PSTT – Parent Support in Tumultuous Times – 10:15 a.m. – Meet with other parents to discuss out to parent in a world that feels overwhelming (Every Sunday, September-November)
- MIDDLE HOUR: Intro to our Church – 10:15 a.m. – This three-part series shares information about the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge. (What do we worship? Who are we? How can you be a part of us?) Though it is intended for relative newcomers, attendees at all points in their time with the church are welcome. Attend one, two or all three sessions.
- MIDDLE HOUR: Social Justice-Voting Subteam – Second Sunday of the month – 10:15 a.m. – Discuss voting concerns and actions that can be taken to improve voting rights. (Also: Nov. 9, Dec. 14)
- Family Ministries Event Brainstorming Session – 1-2:30 p.m. – What events would you love to see happening in family ministries? Gather in the Fellowship Hall with Kathy Smith, Director of Family Ministries, to share your ideas. A light lunch will be served.

- Parents and Caregivers as Sexuality Educators (adult class, online) – 6:30-8 p.m. – The information and attitudes that adults share with their children carry extraordinary power. Many adults struggle to wield this power effectively and confidently. These sessions invite parents and caregivers to find support and courage with one another. 12 sessions-for parents and caregivers of children ages 6-18. Facilitated by Rev. - TransUU: Living and Loving Others Amid the Gender Spectrum – Fourth Sunday of the month –1-2:30 p.m. – Join others for a discussion and relationship-building group for those with loved ones who are transgender, nonbinary or gender nonconforming. Open to all. (Also: Nov. 23, Dec. 28)

- MIDDLE HOUR: Social Justice-Climate Action Subteam – First Sunday of the month – 10:15 a.m. – Share concerns and work toward putting our faith into action. All perspectives about climate are welcome – whatever your level of awareness or acceptance. SPECIAL GUEST: Anthropologist Dr. Kelli Gilbert will discuss the relationship between climate and religion. (Also: Dec. 7, Jan. 4)
