The Rainbow Book Bus will be visiting Baton Rouge on March 12, and will be setting up in the church parking lot from 4-6 pm.

The Rainbow Book Bus aims to promote and protect access to representative books and media for queer communities and anyone impacted by anti-inclusive legislation. Founded in 2022 by Eric Cervini and Adam Powell, the Rainbow Book Bus started with the dream of taking the excitement of an elementary school book fair and sprinkling in a little queer magic.

After months of planning, they’re driving across the country to distribute diverse books to communities with reduced access to them! We’ll be leaving Los Angeles, CA, on March 4th, traveling around 5,000 miles across the country, and giving out 10,000 books in partnership with some incredible LGBTQ+ organizations, including Youth Oasis here in Baton Rouge.
